The Fairview Food Market has been known for their homemade smoked meats from their start in 1949 when Ray used his family's secret recipe to make their rustic summer sausage smoked in fabric casing bags. A few years later with the help from his brother Lloyd, they formulated a recipe for Shoulder Bacon, which is also still made today. More recently the Fairview Food Market has expanded their product line, and began taking smoked meats to State and National competitions. They have won awards for everything from Honey BBQ Snack Sticks, to Hillbilly Jerky, to Hot Dogs, and their Shoulder Bacon.
